It's not about the money...

Wait! Isn't this the place where we ask you to give us money?
Yes it is! BUT like we said, it isn't about the money. Money is the tool that allows us to run programs and events in and outside of the classroom. These programs and events directly impact learning at Sunrise.

When you donate what you're actually doing is:
  • Putting creative art supplies into the students hands via our volunteer Art Docents supported by Green River College. 
  • Packing meals and snacks for students who need them over the weekend in our partnership with the Kent Rotary's Backpack Buddies program.
  • Making it possible to bring engaging and inspiring assemblies into our school 1-2 times per year
  • Showing appreciation for our amazing teachers and staff with treats and meals a few times each year
  • Putting new books in the library and classrooms via Battle of the Books
  • Granting teacher requests for funds to bring materials and programs into their classrooms
  • And, so much more!!!

What Do We Do With Your Donations?

The PTA holds fundraisers throughout the year at Sunrise Elementary to support programs and activities that are valuable for Sunrise students.  Each year the PTA funds programs, provides equipment and supplies, and other activities.  This includes:
  • Art Docent
  • After School Clubs
  • School Assemblies
  • Battle of the Books
  • Family Nights
  • Steel Drum Band
  • Harvest Party
  • And other PTA Activities

Box Top Collections

Do you have friends and family that don't have students in their home? Consider asking them to save their box-tops for you! They can also be dropped off at the front office any time.

(Place clipped Box Tops/labels in a baggie or envelope marked with student and teacher name.)

Box Tops and soup labels will count towards the individual and class competitions going on all year.
