The start of the year is always a busy and exciting time. Whether reconnecting or meeting for the first time, the entire Sunrise PTA executive board is so happy you are part of our school community!! Welcome! Grab your calendar - September has some important events and fun activities you won't want to miss! Sunrise 101 - Sept. 7th, 7 pm, Sunrise Library New and returning families are invited to join us in the Library to hear the answers to all your questions about Sunrise from seasoned parents. We'll cover drop off and pick-up procedures, lunches, school events, how you can be involved in the classroom, and more. School Open House with PTA Q&A - Sept. 12, 5:30- 7pm, Sunrise Open house is a school event for families to tour the building and meet the teachers and specialists. The PTA will be present to answer questions and connect you with opportunities to be involved this year. Monthly PTA Meeting - Sept. 14th, 7 pm, Sunrise Library This year, general PTA meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of the month. These meetings are open to all. Come to hear what's happening at the school and updates on PTA events and initiatives. Restaurant Night - Sept. 20th, business hours, Panda Express, Petrovitsky Rd. Eat-in or take-out all day and support our PTA! Panda Express will donate 20% to our PTA for all orders placed that use our code on September 20th. Order online or in-person, Petrovitsky location only. *confirmed Mariners Game - Sept. 30th, 6:40 pm, T-Mobile Park Bring your family and friends to the ballgame to see the M's take on the Rangers in their 2nd to last home game of this exciting season! We have special discount tickets available in two desirable sections. These tickets normally go for up to $90 each in these sections - purchased through our link they are $17 or $27 each! Come say hello to friends and have a frozen treat at the Sunrise Elementary School PTA ice cream social on Tuesday, August 22nd. Meet us on the playground behind the building. We'll have ice cream treats for the kids (non-dairy available) (one per student). We will be stamping hands, so please speak with your student(s) about sharing skills. Optional Supply drop off will be available by grade and teacher, in the school gym. 🍎 **Teachers are not required to attend this event, this is a student social, not the first day to meet your teacher.** ✏️ PTA members or Sunrise staff will be available to answer questions about the first day of school. 📍 There will be NO school tours - those happen at open house night, later in September. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲: K-1: 5:15-5:45 2-3: 5:45-6:15 4-5: 6:15-6:45 All Grades: 6:45-7 7pm clean up Helpers are needed! Click to go to the sign-up Morning Event for Students and the Dudes in their Lives Thursday June 15th, Sunrise students are invited to arrive at school early with their favorite dudes for a light breakfast snack, coffee, and a little fun. TIME: 7:30 am - 8:20 am in the Sunrise MPR (multipurpose room) All students MUST be accompanied by a grownup. Signup to attend so we have plenty of breakfast snacks for all. Volunteers Needed! The Sunrise year-end carnival is BACK! Friday, June 9th, everyone is invited to attend the end of the year carnival presented by your Sunrise PTA. We're excited to be hosting this much loved event once again. Come celebrate the start of summer with friends, fun, and games! Activities:
Admission is free for all! *Pizza, drinks and other concessions available for purchase* VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!Events like this are even more fun when everyone pitches in to help. Please consider how you can lend a hand to make this year's carnival a great time for everyone.
Something for every ability! Volunteers are needed in many areas including dropping off baked goodies for the cake walk, running a game for an hour, and set up/clean up. Please take a look at the volunteer signup and choose the way to help that fits best. |
