PTA Meeting, October 12th, 7 pm, Sunrise Library This year, general PTA meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of the month. These meetings are open to all. Come to hear what's happening at the school and updates on PTA events and initiatives. Join us in person or virtually. VITUAL LINLK Morning Coffee Cart for Teacher Appreciation, October 16th ☕️ We're getting ready to kick off Conference Week with a jolt of caffeine for our fantastic teachers! On Monday October 16th 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽. We're bringing in a professional coffee cart so teachers get can order their favorite drinks, and we're looking for volunteers to deliver those caffeinated delights. From October 24th to November 2, we're kicking off our very first APEX all-school fundraiser, and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. APEX is a game-changer, combining dynamic leadership lessons with a fun all-school fitness event and the power of fundraising. Here's the deal: on Tuesday October 24th all students will meet the APEX team and find out how to get involved in and outside of their time in class. Participating is a breeze – just log into your personal webpage and share the links with your family and friends. But hey, sharing is entirely optional. Even if students don't dive into fundraising, they're still in for an awesome time with the leadership program and a neon-tastic Dance Party Move Event at the end. 🕺💃 Stay tuned for more info later in October. The start of the year is always a busy and exciting time. Whether reconnecting or meeting for the first time, the entire Sunrise PTA executive board is so happy you are part of our school community!! Welcome! Grab your calendar - September has some important events and fun activities you won't want to miss! Sunrise 101 - Sept. 7th, 7 pm, Sunrise Library New and returning families are invited to join us in the Library to hear the answers to all your questions about Sunrise from seasoned parents. We'll cover drop off and pick-up procedures, lunches, school events, how you can be involved in the classroom, and more. School Open House with PTA Q&A - Sept. 12, 5:30- 7pm, Sunrise Open house is a school event for families to tour the building and meet the teachers and specialists. The PTA will be present to answer questions and connect you with opportunities to be involved this year. Come say hello to friends and have a frozen treat at the Sunrise Elementary School PTA ice cream social on Tuesday, August 22nd. Meet us on the playground behind the building. We'll have ice cream treats for the kids (non-dairy available) (one per student). We will be stamping hands, so please speak with your student(s) about sharing skills. Optional Supply drop off will be available by grade and teacher, in the school gym. 🍎 **Teachers are not required to attend this event, this is a student social, not the first day to meet your teacher.** ✏️ PTA members or Sunrise staff will be available to answer questions about the first day of school. 📍 There will be NO school tours - those happen at open house night, later in September.
